Part 2: Lesson Four
Introduction
1. “The Science of Mind is based entirely upon the supposition that we are surrounded by a Universal Mind into which we think; this Mind, in Its original state, fills all space with Its Presence.” If there is one mind upon which all is created, then how might you re-frame your perception of “my mind”?
2. If man can only bring into his experience that which he can perceive, and being limitless is foreign to his thought process, what can you, as man think, feel or do to align yourself with limitless possibilities?
3. It is said that “Man must become more if he wishes to draw a greater good into his life.” He must also comply with the Universal Law. Write a list of the traits that you believe you must live in order to become “more” (trust, integrity, self-honesty, etc.).
4. We are warned that we should only follow a “constructive” course. List the ways in which you may be following a destructive course in your life.
5. What shifts can you make to turn the destructive course into a constructive one?
6. It is suggested that we daily train our thought to recognize the Spirit in everything we do, say, or think. For at least one day, make an effort to witness your actions, words and thoughts. As you do so, note that each contains Spirit within it. Are there any shifts you would choose to make tomorrow? Write about your findings.
7. A sense of Divine Companionship comes with the realization that Spirit is in everything. Knowing that you are never alone can be comforting and supportive. Finish this statement: Because I know that I always have a Divine Companion, I feel…, and I experience …
8. The author asserts that Jesus gave thanks, and then commanded the Law to work. We so often beg and distrust, and only after receiving that which we desire, do we give thanks. For the next week, focus on first giving thanks and then commanding. Note and list any shifts in your experience.
9. Are there times in your life where you just knew that something was about to manifest in your life? If so, describe the experience.
10. How might you cultivate that knowing more in your life? Is this possible for you to control, or is it more an act of faith? Please explain.
11. As a student of the Science of Mind, you should take time every day to see your life as you wish it to be, to make a mental picture of your ideal situation. You should then pass it over to the Law and be assured that things are moving in that direction. Choose at least one thing that you wish to manifest in your life. Practice this exercise daily, and make note of any changes you experience.
12. Calmness, peace and no sense of hurry are necessary for manifesting in co-creation with the Universal Law. What daily practice can you do to gain greater sense of peace and calm? Be sure to do it!
